エモーショナル・パンク、最後の大物と呼ばれたRydell。
メンバーの1人、Davidはエモの超弩級レーベル、Engineer Recordsを運営しております。
また、メンバーの多くはRydell以前にはCouch Potatoes、Wactに所属していました。
Couch Potatoesや、Wactからは想像も出来ない音を鳴らすようになったものですねぇ。
これまでには、2枚のオリジナルアルバムと2枚のシングル編集盤をリリース。
特に2ndアルバム「Hard On The Trail」は彼等の集大成とも言えるナイスな出来です。
シングルをまとめた「Always Remembering Everything」も、
初期から順に曲が並んでおり、成長の過程を確認出来て良いのですが、
各シングルに1曲の割合でアコギをメインにした物が入っているので、
その点では少し食傷気味になってしまう感がありますです。
もう1枚の編集盤、「Anchors Parachutes」は各音源から万遍なく曲を並べたベスト的内容です。
その他には初期に「Switched On」、「Memo, Demo」、
中期に「Rythm Kings」、「Home」と銘打たれた4つのデモをドロップ。
どの音源でもエモーショナルとメロディックの華麗なる融和を見せてくれるバンドです。
