USのポップパンクを独自に解釈し、息の長い活動を続けたPanic。
題名や歌詞の内容、一部のアートワークなどはMisfitsを感じさせ、
サウンドはScreeching WeaselやQueersを思わせる物となっています。
そして、もちろんRamonesからの強い影響があるのは間違いのないところ。
オススメは迷う事なくCrackleからの2枚となります。
この時期から導入したキーボードが入る曲なんかは、
まるで「Cool Kids」や、「Teenage Freakshow」などの
ウィーゼル大先生による名曲を想起させるような出来具合。
この2枚を推薦する見解は、自分がCrackleというレーベルに
強い思い入れを持つがゆえの物では決してないハズです。…多分。
しかし、本当にCrackleのオーナーであるDaveという人物は
リリースするバンドの音を総じてステキに仕立て上げる魔法でも使えるかのようだ。
(いや、One Car Pile-Upには、その魔法も効かなかったみたいだけど。)

Panicは2004年7月に解散。10年に及ぶ活動に終止符を打っています。
